Inspiration: Sheer/Beaded/Sequined Goodness

A few months back I went to my first Somali wedding. A friend of

mine had a brother my age that was getting married. Crazy! But,

I enjoyed everything about the wedding. Besides a lovely service, the 

authentic Somali garments were even more lovely. Everything was 

very delicate looking- light sheer fabric, hand beaded designs.

I really appreciated the attention to detail. Above are a few photos

Nazsare English

Moon Daisy recently got some new faces!

Like newcomer model Nazsare aka Naz. 

Her green accented hair and super cute gap gave her the

perfect edgy look to make the MD shoot a success.

Get to know more about her!

Q: Introduce yourself to Moon Daisy lovers! What's your name, where are you from?
A: Nazsare English , people call me naz. Born and raised in Minnesota . (sigh)

Q: How long have you been modeling? What types of fashion related things have you been involved with/modeled for? (Shoots, shows, events, etc.)
A: Moon daisy was the first shoot I have actually done. My background is dance, but I find this fun! I mean who wouldn't have fun modeling amazing vintage finds!

Q: What do you enjoy about modeling for Moon Daisy?
A: Nothing is the same! You never know what she is going to pull out for us to model. It's pretty exciting and that keeps it fun. The vibe is super chill at the shoot which makes me extremely comfortable.

Q: Moon Daisy currently specializes in offering gals great vintage finds, are you a vintage lover yourself? If so, what would you say has been your best vintage find?
A: I love vintage finds. One of the pieces I love the most would have to be, a really old vintage newspaper wallet my grandma gave me.

Q: Who/What inspires your style the most? Do you have a fashion icon?
A: I don't know if I really have an icon. If your rockin it right, I'm rockin with you! I would have to admit that I do have a fashion crush on Angela Simmons!

Q: Name one thing in your closet you couldn't live without, and why?
A:I Dont think i have one specific item, but I absolutely adore my shoes!!

Q: If you could steal one vintage from a Moon Daisy shoot what would it be, and why?
A: The Betsey Johnson mesh dress, Moon Daisy model Kayla wore it so good!

Q: What's your style (fashion) goal for 2012?
A: I'd like to continue to figure out what my style is! I recently started a "style-file" book of my favorite looks and ideas, things I feel define me, almost like a look book of ME! I also want my online accessory store to be a success!

Liz Claiborne blouse today that she copped from Moon Daisy's online shop! 

She loved this blouse because she's part Hawaiian

and this blouse reminded her of a chic Hawaiian print. She rocked the blouse

90s Party x Moon Daisy

I attended the 90's party this past Saturday night. AMAZING.

Having been born in 1990, it was great to hear songs I grew up on

and witness fashions I haven't seen in years! Like overalls! With one

strap unbuckled.... Moesha! Ironically, me and my chicas were really 

80's for the event, but that's actually how I always dress I suppose.
